U18 women's national team: big win against the Swiss
At the 4-nation tournament in Finland, the German U18 women's national team achieved a clear 5-0 (1-0, 1-0, 3-0) success against the Swiss selection.
The German team started with great concentration and this time was rewarded for their commitment. In the tenth minute, Thea-Marleen Bartell took the lead for U18 women's national coach Franziska Busch's team after an assist from Celine Mayer and Pauline Gruchot.
Team Germany defended with concentration and continued to provide pinpricks offensively. This was also the case in the second third, when Mayer was able to increase the score to 2-0 thanks to an assist from Bartell. The Swiss were unable to recover from this shock in the final third.
The German selection was now extremely efficient in the power play and was able to take advantage of all three powerplay situations in the final third through Luisa Welcke, Svenja Voigt and Heidi Strompf.
The German team thus finished the strong four-nation tournament in third place.

U16 women’s national team: Second win in second game
Today the U24 women's national teams from France and Germany met for the second time within 16 hours. Yesterday's game went to the German selection 2-0 and today the German team left the ice as winners with 2-0 (1-0, 1-0, 0-0).
The team of Young Talent national coach Daniel Bartell was able to confirm yesterday's good performance and got off to a good start. From the start, the German selection had more possession and was able to convert this into an early lead through Maya Stöber.
Team Germany didn't let up in the second third either and, like yesterday, Katharina Heckelsmiller was able to get on the top scorer list.
The German defense didn't let anything go in the rest of the game and, thanks to a strong performance from Maria Husz in the German goal, they didn't concede a goal for the second game in a row.
