The DEB-Trainer training is available for the ears from December 13, 2019. The Deutscher Eishockey-Bund (DEB) provides the podcast “Coach the Coach” free of charge, in which prominent discussion partners from the world of ice hockey with Karl Schwarzenbrunner, the DEB- Federal trainer for science and training, to discuss the content of trainer training and further education.
“We have set ourselves the goal of continually developing trainer training and further education and making the training material and sports science information available to our trainers on various platforms to expand knowledge and build skills,” explains Karl Schwarzenbrunner. “With the knowledge platform, we took the first big step at the end of 2018 to make our content available digitally in the form of blended learning, regardless of location or time. In the second step, we would like to provide the trainers with the DEB-Podcast 'Coach the Coach' provides a constant companion on your travels.”
But the target group of the project is not just the trainers, as Karl Schwarzenbrunner explains: “There is the positive side effect that with the podcast we can easily transport the knowledge beyond the coaches. Parents, players, coaches from other sports and, last but not least, the Fans Access the 'Coach the Coach' podcast and get a transparent insight into the DEB-Get trainer training.”
In the first two episodes he speaks DEB-National coach for science and training with national coach Toni Söderholm and women's national coach Christian Künast. The two conversations can be accessed and subscribed to on the popular streaming platforms Spotify, Apple Podcasts and Deezer from December 13, 2019. The content will continue to be available on the DEB-Homepage and the knowledge platform provided.
