The U20 national team celebrated a clear victory at the start of the 4-nation tournament in Piešťany (Slovakia). The team of U20 national coach Tobias Abstreiter defeated Norway 6:1 (1:1, 3:0, 2:0).
The DEB-Selection got off to a good start and used a power play to take the lead in the second minute. Dennis Lobach scored after preparatory work by his Munich teammates John Peterka and Justin Schütz. However, the Norwegians didn't have to wait long for their answer: Calle Spaberg Olsen scored the Scandinavians to equalize. As a result, the DEB-Selection an increase in chances - but could not score another goal until the third break. The spectators saw the same picture in the middle section, but the German team improved their chances. Three out of eight shots landed in the Norwegian goal. Tim Stützle (22nd minute), Justin Schütz (25th) and Luis Schinko (28th) were on the top scorers list. In the final section the DEB-Selection by Lukas Reichel to 5:1 and with the second goal of the day from Justin Schütz to the final score of 6:1.
Tomorrow the team of U20 national coach Tobias Abstreiter will continue at the 4-nation tournament. From 17.00 p.m. it hits DEB-Selection of Slovakia.

I am very satisfied with the conversion of opportunities and also with the defensive performance. We still want to improve our performance again in tomorrow’s game against Slovakia.”
