DEBThe selection showed offensive drive right from the start and was able to quickly bridge the neutral zone several times with good passing. The first shot on goal, however, came from the Swiss, but Lilly Uhrmann in the German goal had no problems with it. After five minutes, Ronja Hark and Thea-Marleen Bartell had the first two big German chances on the power play, but they were not forceful enough in the final stages. In the ninth minute of play, the puck was almost in the goal when Lisa Heinz hit the inside post. Five minutes before the first half, Heidi Strompf aimed exactly right: her slap shot from the blue line hit the opponent's goal on the power play to give them a 1-0 lead. Up until the half, the German team once again showed a presence in the attacking third, but rarely found a direct route to the goal. So the 1-0 lead remained.
The start of the middle section was balanced with periods of pressure on both sides. After 25 minutes, the German team had their third power play opportunity. And Lea Badura took advantage with a shot from the blue line to make it 2-0. The German team then had more of the game, but was unable to capitalize on any of the chances they had created. On the other hand, a Swiss woman happily deflected the disc into the German goal to make it 2-1. Just 22 seconds later, Svenja Voigt restored the old gap with a 3-1 halftime score.

DEB-Selection started the last part of the game with a situation of being outnumbered, but after a minute and a half a Swiss penalty equalized this again. The German team was able to exert pressure on the subsequent majority, but did not score another goal. Two minutes before the end, Annabella Sterzik chipped the disc off an opponent's stick during the backcheck, pulled the puck through the legs of a Swiss defender and rewarded herself for this individual performance with the goal to make the final score 4-1.
Franziska Busch, U18 women’s national coach: “Today’s game was an improvement on the preparatory game. We implemented a lot of what we planned and trained for. We have improved particularly in defensive behavior. Now it’s important to regenerate well before the next game against Slovakia and continue to work on the guidelines.”

The German U16 national team lost their second game at the 4-nation tournament in Zell am See (Austria). The team of U16 national coach Thomas Schädler lost to Belarus 4:8 (1:1, 0:4, 3:3).
The Belarusian team got off to a better start: after just 61 seconds, the puck landed in the German goal - Andrei Lashko scored for a 1-0 lead. As a result, coach Denis Bulgakov's team created a significant increase in chances over the German team, which however - as the day before - proved effective. Moritz Elias equalized in the eighth minute.
The Belarusian team started the middle section with a double blow: Kiryl Hudkou (21st) and Uladzislau Naumau (22nd) gave their opponents a 2-1 and 3-1 lead, respectively. As a result, Belarus managed a total of 23 shots in the third. The German team had to accept two more goals: Tsimafei Tsimashkou (33rd) and Matsvei Shydlouski (36th/powerline) increased the score to 5-1 in the third.
Kevin Schinko reduced the score to 45:2 from the German team's perspective in the final third in the 5th minute after preparatory work by John Lipchander. But the Belarusians subsequently scored through Daniil Bourash (48th) and Tsimafei Tsimashkou (53rd, 56th). Roman Kechter (53rd) and Julian Lutz (57th) have now joined the list of goalscorers for the German team. Ultimately, the Belarusians should win 8:4 against the DEB-Enforce selection.
In the final game of the 4-nation tournament, the U16 national team will face hosts Austria tomorrow (13.00 p.m.).
Thomas Schädler, U16 national coach: “The Belarusian team deserved to win today - this must be recognized. They had more play and more chances to score than our team. We balanced two thirds of the result. Overall, we have to build on the performance of the first tournament game tomorrow. “The focus now needs to be on the final game against Austria.”
