Maksim Anton increased the final score to 6:3 with the final siren.
After the opening success, the U16 national team will continue with the second game of the tournament tomorrow, Thursday. From 13.45 p.m. the team of U16 national coach Thomas Schädler will face Belarus.
Thomas Schädler, U16 national coach: “It was a very difficult and close game today in which we handled our scoring opportunities extremely effectively. Goalie Simon Maximilian Wolf took almost 50 shots at the goal, which helped us through his Parawho kept him in the game. We have to work on this in the coming games. I really liked the team's effort today. After just three training sessions, we are improving step by step and are heading in the right direction - this is also shown by today's result.”
