In the Oberliga admission process, 19 clubs have so far received approval to play for the 2019/2020 season, including 13 clubs without any conditions. Five applicants received varying levels of inquiries from the admissions committee. These applicants have been asked to submit documents later. An applicant had to be informed of non-admission based on the documents submitted. This applicant can now initiate a review procedure before the game court DEB strive.
DEB- Vice President Marc Hindelang: “The fact that thirteen top league teams were granted admission without any conditions shows the increasing professionalism in the participants' environment, with the south being a little further ahead. The stricter tests of recent years have proven their worth in this regard and have certainly ensured greater care when compiling the documents. The fact that a participant was refused admission also follows from the fact of the precise examination. This case is still curable, but the final decision will have to be made by the match court.”
With regard to the applications of the five applicants for whom the subsequent submission of documents has become necessary, a review and decision is planned for the 26th and 27th calendar week.
