Steffen Ziesche will lead the U18 national team as a full-time national coach in the future. With the 47-year-old, the Deutscher Eishockey-Bund (DEB) an experienced trainer who has already worked in various positions for the association and various clubs.
After his playing career, Ziesche had his first engagements as general manager with the Dresdner Eislöwen and coach of the Eispiren Crimmitschau before joining the club in 2011 Eisbären Berlin changed. There he looked after the DNL team as head coach until the end of the 2016/17 season. ParaAdditionally, the 47-year-old worked as an assistant and video coach for the German national team from the 2012/13 to 2014/15 season under then national coach Pat Cortina. As part of this commitment, he was part of the coaching staff at the 2013, 2014 and 2015 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championships. Ziesche also looked after the U20 national team as an assistant coach at the U20 World Cup Div. IA 2016 in Vienna and as head coach of the U18 team at the U18 World Cup Div. IA 2017 in Bled.
Before the 2017/18 season, Ziesche moved to the coaching staff Eisbären Berlin in the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) and still works there as an assistant coach today. Steffen Ziesche will now continue his work as a full-time U18 national coach at DEB record, tape.
