Frank Fischöder, U18 national coach: “We started the game well and created some good chances, but unfortunately we were only able to take advantage of one of them. Defensively we improved significantly today and only gave the Kazakhs a few opportunities. After a short period of weakness in the final third, the boys were able to sort themselves out and bring home the deserved victory. The first step has been taken and tomorrow we continue against Norway. We’re preparing for that now.”
