First and second phase of World Cup preparation: Toni Söderholm announces squad

DEB-Selection comes together next Monday / Home games against Slovakia in Kaufbeuren and Garmisch-Partenkirchen / Söderholm: “I was looking forward to this moment.”

National coach Toni Söderholm has announced the 25-man squad of the German national team for the first and second phases of World Cup preparation.

With Gerrit Fauser, Björn Krupp, Jonas Müller, Marcel Noebels and Leo Pföderl, Toni Söderholm has five silver heroes from Pyeongchang DEB-selection. There are also five debutants in the squad: the two U20 World Cup participants Dominik Bokk and Tim Wohlgemuth as well as Parker Tuomie, Marcus Weber and Sven Ziegler.

I've been looking forward to this moment for a long time and I'm happy when I'm finally on the ice with the boys. We have found a good mix of experienced players and young talent for the first two phases.”

The opening game will take place on Thursday, April 11, 2019, at 19.00 p.m. in Kaufbeuren. On Saturday, April 13, 2019, we will face the Slovaks again in Garmisch-Partenkirchen (game starts at 20.00 p.m.).

The German national team will then travel to the Czech Republic for the second phase of preparation. There are two international matches against the Czech Republic on the program in Karlovy Vary. The games will take place on Wednesday, April 17th and Thursday, April 18th, 2019. The game starts at 17.30:XNUMX p.m.
