National coach Christian Künast has announced the 23-person squad for the upcoming 2019 IIHF Ice Hockey Women's World Championship (April 4 to 14, 2019). Accordingly, three goalkeepers, seven defenders and 13 strikers will represent the women's national team in Espoo/Finland. Among them are a total of five World Championship debutants: Jule Flötgen, Naemi Bär, Celina Haider, Emily Nix and Marie-Kristin Schmid.
On April 1, 2019, the 23 players and the team behind the team will leave for Finland. Before that, national coach Christian Künast's team will play a final test against the French selection on March 30, 2019. Bully time is at 18.00 p.m. in the Federal Training Center in Füssen.
At the 2019 IIHF Ice Hockey Women's World Championship, the German women's national team will start the tournament against Sweden on April 4, 2019. During the preliminary round the... DEB-Selection continues against Japan, France and the Czech Republic.
