The International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) and the Organizing Committee have published the schedule for the upcoming 2020 IIHF U20 Ice Hockey World Championship in Ostrava and Trinec (Czech Republic). The German U20 national team will start the tournament on December 27, 2019 (19.00 p.m.) in the Ostravar Arena against the USA. The team of U20 national coach Tobias Abstreiter will then face hosts Czech Republic, Canada and Russia in Group B.
The quarter-finals will take place on January 2, 2020 in Ostrava and Trinec. The semi-finals will follow on January 4, 2020 and one day later the game for third place and the final of the U3 World Cup. Ticket sales are expected to start at the end of April.
