Franz Reindl, DEB-President: “I am pleased that there is so much interest in the international match in Garmisch-Partenkirchen and that over 2.500 tickets have already been sold. Slovakia, host of the home World Cup in Bratislava and Kosice in May, is a very interesting, strong opponent. In addition, Toni Söderholm returns as national coach for the first time and presents a young, hungry national team. The last time we were guests at the Olympic Ice Sports Center was 16 years ago, now it was time again to experience the international match atmosphere in the time-honored hall. I am convinced that with the support of everyone involved, the week-long training camp at the Olympic Ice Sports Center and Werdenfelserei will make the international match a complete success.”
Toni Söderholm, national coach: “We are really looking forward to our time in Garmisch-Partenkirchen! An intensive training camp is coming up, during which the players can get to know each other better and train together in the best possible conditions. I am pleased that there will be so many spectators there when I return to the Olympic Ice Sports Center. The international matches in Kaufbeuren and Garmisch will be the first balancing act for our future challenges!”
