Christian Ehrhoff can be seen in the fourth season of "Ewige Helden" on VOX from February 19th. In a total of 24 competitions, the silver hero, ski jumper Sven Hannawald, weightlifter Matthias Steiner, biathlete Andrea Burke formerly Henkel, boxer Susi Kentikian, épée fencer Britta Heidemann, world handball player Nadine Krause and bobsledder Kevin Kuske want to find out who is the most versatile athlete in the fourth season (4 episodes from February 8th on Tuesdays at 19:20 p.m. on VOX). The former top athletes fight and live together in Andalusia for several weeks - in their career reviews they also give a deep and emotional insight into their athletes' souls.
"We are all very ambitious. As soon as the starting gun goes off, we give it our all," says Andrea Burke, formerly Henkel (41), full of anticipation. In 2008, she became the first biathlete to win a world championship title in all individual Olympic disciplines to date. And ice hockey player Christian Ehrhoff (36), who sensationally won the silver medal with the German national team at the 2018 Olympic Games, is also excited about the competition: "In the next eight weeks, I will always give 39 percent!" A real challenge also comes from Kevin Kuske (XNUMX), the most successful bobsleigh athlete in the world: "I want to be the best of the best. I have always been in my sport and that's why I want to win at 'Ewige Helden' too." The athletes will once again be accompanied through the competitions by ski legend and game director Markus Wasmeier, and reporter Marco Hagemann will comment on the games.
In the sports documentary, the former top athletes also look back on their exceptional careers: “We ski jumpers often push ourselves to our limits mentally and physically - and sometimes even beyond them,” says Sven Hannawald (43), who was the first to complete all competitions at the won the Four Hills Tournament. In his review, the two-time ski flying world champion and team Olympic champion not only talks about his constant battle for weight, but also about the depression that accompanied him throughout his sporting career. Matthias Steiner (36), on the other hand, says that as a child he dreamed of winning the Olympics in weightlifting: “And when I woke up, I was suddenly the strongest man in the world.” In the show, the Austrian native also looks back on the moment when his life was turned upside down - and his wife Susann died in a car accident. Boxer Susi Kentikian (30) won the WBA, WIBF and WBO world titles in her career. In a conversation with her fellow athletes, she reveals that it was her success in the ring that saved the young girl from the threat of deportation after she fled Armenia with her parents.
From February 19th on Tuesdays at 20:15 p.m., VOX will show which top athletes give their all in the competitions to win the title “Best of the Best” and which of them is overwhelmed by their feelings during the emotional career reviews in eight episodes “Eternal Heroes”.
