The Deutscher Eishockey-Bund (DEB) would like to thank Prof. Dr. Markus Walther for the medical care of national player Tanja Eisenschmid and Dr. Lutz Graumann for support with the organization.
The 25-year-old was injured in the game against Finland at the start of the “Final 6 Tournament” of the Euro Women's Hockey Tour and was treated at the Munich Clinic Harlaching. Prof. Dr. Markus Walther successfully performed the operation on her severe ankle fracture injury on Monday, February 11, 2019.
The DEB and especially women's national coach Christian Künast wish Tanja Eisenschmid the best possible healing process. At a personal meeting with DEBThis was communicated to her personally by Sports Director Stefan Schaidnagel and Association Doctor Dr. Lutz Graumann and Prof. Dr. Markus Walther was thanked for his medical services.
