It had to be a clear defeat U19 national team in Turku (Finland) against the hosts. At the 5-nation tournament, U19 national coach Jochen Molling's team lost 1:6 (1:1; 0:2; 0:3) against Finland.
The first period was evenly matched. Santeri Airola gave Finland the lead in the sixth minute, but Luis Schinko had the perfect answer two minutes later. In the second period, both teams had the same number of scoring opportunities (9:9), but Finland had more luck in the final stages. Eemil Erholtz (22nd) in the power play and Jesse Moilanen (27th) earned the hosts a comfortable 3:1 lead. The Finns struck three more times in the final period: Arttu Nevasaari (46th), Otto Kivenmäki (55th) and Samuel Salonen (59th) increased the score to 4:1, 5:1 and 6:1 - which was also the final score.
Jochen Molling, U19 national coach: “Despite the defeat, we showed a good fighting performance and implemented what we had planned beforehand. I really liked the scoring chances we created in the second third. That’s exactly what we want to achieve again tomorrow against the Czech Republic.”

The German U18 national team lost their last game at the U18 Vlado Dzurilla Cup. In Piešťany, U18 national coach Thomas Schädler's team lost to Belarus 5:6 (1:2; 1:2; 3:1; 0:1) after extra time. This proves that DEB-Selection third place in the tournament table.
In the first period, the German team fell behind early on. In the 8th minute, Evgeniy Oksentyuk scored for the Belarusian team to make it 1-0. However, Cologne's Simon Gnyp had the right answer three minutes later and equalized the score. The German team then survived two power plays, but had to accept another deficit 13 seconds before the end of the third period - again it was Evgeniy Oksentyuk who put the puck in the net. In the middle period, Filip Varejka scored again in the 23rd minute to equalize. However, the Belarusians pulled ahead with a double strike within 25 seconds (24th). After Aliaksandr Antashkou's 5-2 goal (49th), the game seemed to be over for the DEB-Selection already lost, but the team of U18 national coach Thomas Schädler came back. The goals from Filip Reisnecker (52nd), Maksymilian Szuber (56th) and Elias Lindner (57th) meant the score was 5:5 and the associated extra time. The Belarusians needed 44 seconds to take the extra point from this game with Evgeniy Oksentyuk's third goal of the day and fifth goal of the tournament.
