Last week, the Top Team Peking - a prospective team that will bring young German players match practice and competition experience in international ice hockey with a view to the 2022 Olympic Games - met for the first time as part of a training session in Dingolfing. It was also the premiere in his new role for national coach Toni Söderholm. He led the three-day session with the 23 national players together with assistant coach Tobias Abstreiter and goalkeeping coach Ilpo Kauhanen. In addition to silver hero Jonas Müller, numerous players from the U20 national team, who had recently achieved promotion to the top division, also found their place in the squad.
