Toni Söderholm, national coach: “We are looking forward to the games in Regensburg and Deggendorf. These two games a week before the World Cup are extremely important for our team. In this phase, every training session and every game counts. Tactics, teamwork, special teams – we have to use every opportunity to develop further.”
Franz Reindl, President: “The international matches before the World Cup are crucial for the team’s interaction and for the performance at the tournament under the new national coach Toni Söderholm. It’s very nice to see how positive the cooperation with the host locations and clubs is and how the spectators accept the national team.”
Artur Frank, 1st board member at SC Deggendorf: “We were able to gain positive experience in advance through the two young talent tournaments for the U19 and U20 national teams. Deggendorf has created a good on-site infrastructure with a modernized stadium, a video cube, the press stands and the camera podium and, during the sporting success of the last few years, has produced outstanding young talent players such as Thomas Greilinger, Manuel Wiederer, Christoph and Andreas Gawlik or Timo and Thomas Pielmeier .
Ivo Stellmann-Zidek; 1. Board of Regenburg Ice Sports Club eV: "The EVR, along with all ice hockey fans in and around Regensburg, is looking forward to seeing coach Toni Söderholm's team live in the Stadtwerk.Donau-Arena. It is a great honor for us to be able to welcome the 2018 Olympic heroes to our team. And for the EVR's young ice hockey talent, the top-class encounter between two national ice hockey teams will certainly be unforgettable and an incentive to continue training hard, because children need role models."
“Just in time for the 20th anniversary of the Stadtwerk.Donau-Arena, we are able to provide the setting for an international ice hockey game for the fifth time. For us it is of course the sporting highlight of the year and we are very pleased to be able to present the silver medalists from the 2018 Olympic Games to the entire ice sports-loving region. We are convinced that the national players will deliver a great game to the spectators under the new leadership of national coach Toni Söderholm.” Peter Lautenschlager; Operations manager of the Stadtwerk.Donau-Arena
