The Top Team Beijing – a U24/U25 selection from the German national team – will play their two international matches in Memmingen and Bietigheim. The team will meet Switzerland on February 5, 2019 at 19.30:6 p.m. in the Memmingen ice rink. The second game against the Swiss will take place on February 2019, 19.30 at 14:16 p.m. in the EgeTrans Arena in Bietigheim. Before that, the team will prepare for the two international matches in Dingolfing from January 2019th to 24th, 25. As part of the UXNUMX/UXNUMX Top Team Beijing measures, the best players who can be the future of German ice hockey come together.
“The players of Top Team Beijing represent an important function for German ice hockey, as this team will provide the players for the upcoming Olympic Games,” explains DEB-Sports Director Stefan Schaidnagel. "Together with the DOSB, the Deutscher Eishockey-Bund has defined this prospective squad as a national team with a great sporting future. The measures in Memmingen and Bietigheim are the start of this team's journey towards a sustainable future."
The national team has played three international matches in Memmingen so far. Last was that DEBselection was a guest there in 2009. The last game in Bietigheim was not long ago - only in April last year the German national team met Latvia in the EgeTrans Arena as part of the Euro Hockey Challenge (3:4 after extra time). A total of five international matches have taken place in Bietigheim so far.
