Telekom becomes a premium partner DEB
SPORT1 and Telekom Sport will broadcast all international matches of the German national team up to and including 2024. A corresponding agreement has been reached between SPORT1 and the Deutscher Eishockey-Bund (Deutscher Eishockey-Bund eV (DEB). In addition, even more ice hockey fans and sports enthusiasts will be reached in the future. DEB will also cooperate with Telekom Germany. This means: The international matches of the German national team can also be seen free of charge on the Telekom Sport platform.
To mark the start of the comprehensive collaboration, SPORT1 and Telekom Sport will broadcast the Deutschland Cup 2018 from November 8th to 11th, 2018. The German national team's games can be seen on free TV on SPORT1 and on Telekom Sport. Telekom Sport will also broadcast the three other tournament games from the participating nations Russia, Slovakia and Switzerland. Presenter Sascha Bandermann, commentator Basti Schwele and expert Rick Goldmann are on duty at the microphone on both SPORT1 and Telekom Sport.
The agreement between the DEB and Telekom includes, in addition to the media rights, a comprehensive marketing cooperation. The Dax group will present its premium partner and this commitment, among other things, on the national team's player pants. Further marketing and licensing rights for the national ice hockey team and the young talent teams round off the partnership.
The cooperation of the DEB with SPORT1 and Telekom Sport includes the annual event Deutschland Cup the broadcasts of six additional international matches per year. SPORT1 and Telekom Sport will do this DEB as an official media partner with comprehensive reporting on TV, online, mobile and social media channels. The partners also agreed on further technical innovations: in the future, highlights will be shown during the game DEB Social media channels, and game summaries follow shortly after the end of the game.
