27 trainers from all over Germany took part in an A/B/C trainer training course on the topic of “Integration through sport” from September 28th to 29th, 2018 at the Federal Training Center in Füssen. Ingo Wagner (Integration through Sport Middle Franconia) and Thomas Kram (Integration through Sport Lower Franconia) from the Bavarian State Sports Association (BLSV) led the intercultural qualification measure “Fit for Diversity” as speakers. The participants were actively involved in the seminar and dealt intensively with topics such as conflict management, cultural understanding, the integration potential of sport as well as communication and perception.
They also looked back historically at immigration in Germany and carried out concrete exercises for non-verbal communication and perception on the ice.
The seminar was organized in this form for the first time by the Deutscher Eishockey-Bund (DEB) and encouraged a constructive exchange and intensive discussions between the trainers. As part of a one-day seminar in 2017, Ingo Wagner and Thomas Kram gave a talk on the topic of “Integration through sport”.
Funding opportunities and DEB-Contact person
In addition to further training, the clubs can also be supported through financial support opportunities - for example from the BLSV. If you have any questions about “Integration through sport” and funding opportunities, club representatives can contact DEB-Project manager Julia Eisenrieder (email: julia.eisenrieder@deb-online.de).
