Oberliga opener: Tilburg and Rostock get off to a perfect start - game canceled Berlin / U20 DNL Div. I: Four clubs celebrate six-point weekend / U20 DNL Div. II: Schwenningen table leader despite first defeat / U17 Div. I: Düsseldorf leads the northern echelon – Rosenheim leads in the south
Start of the season in Oberliga Nord – and this went particularly well for two teams. We're talking about last year's champions Tilburg Trappers and the Rostock Piranhas, who lead the table with six points after two match days. The Dutch won 6-3 in Erfurt on Friday evening and followed that up with a 10-0 win against the Harzer Falken on Sunday. At the start of the season, Rostock initially defeated Duisburg 3-1 and fought for a narrow 7-6 win against Herner EV on home ice.
The two Hanoverian Oberliga clubs are in third and fourth place after the start of the league. On Friday the Scorpions won 8:4 in Braunlage and the Indians beat ECC Preussen in front of their home crowd Berlin with 7:3. Both teams met in the derby on Sunday evening. In the direct clash, the Hannover Scorpions secured the derby victory. After a 2:5 deficit, the Indians equalized with a final offensive nine seconds before the end. However, the Scorpions secured the extra point in the penalty shootout - Dennis Schütt ensured the host's success with his penalty.
The Harzer Falken are in last place after two defeats. The EXA Icefighters Leipzig, TecArt BlackDragons and the ECC Preussen also remained without points at the weekend. Berlin – however, they were only used in one game. The game between ECC Preussen Berlin and the ESC Wohnbau Moskitos Essen could not take place on Sunday due to a defective roof.

Four clubs celebrated in the U20 DNL Division I a six-point weekend. Mannheim (6:3 and 11:3 against Augsburg), Landshut (4:3 and 3:0 against Düsseldorf), Cologne (6:4 and 5:1 against Regensburg) and Berlin (5:1 and 8:2 against Bad Tölz) won their two games and are placed 1st to 4th in the table in that order.

Things are tight in the U20 DNL Division II at the top of the table. The Schwenninger ERC suffered its first defeat of the season in Rosenheim at the weekend (2:5), but took revenge the following day with a 3:1 win and leads the table with 15 points. Behind them, one point behind, are the ERC Ingolstadt and the Iserlohner EC. Ingolstadt lost to Dresden 2:3 on Saturday and won 5:4 after extra time on Sunday. Iserlohn secured a total of four points at the weekend (3:2 and 2:3 nP against Weißwasser).

The Grizzly Adams Wolfsburg have their lead in the table U20 DNL Division III Nord defended. The team from the Autostadt celebrated a 3-2 win in Frankfurt on Saturday and followed up with a 7-6 away win after extra time against the same opponent on Sunday. Essen, Chemnitz and Bad Nauheim were also able to score three points at the weekend.

In the U20 DNL Division III Süd The first to fourth placed teams each have 13 points. Landsberg (9:1 and 7:1 against Mannheim) and Ravensburg (6:3 and 5:2 against Deggendorf) remained without losing points at the weekend. Nuremberg (3rd) and Peiting (4th) met in a direct duel and each won one game.

After two narrow defeats at the start in Düsseldorf, they celebrated Eisbären Juniors Berlin in the U17 Division I Nord their first six points. The capital club won against ES Weißwasser 5:3 on Saturday and 9:0 on Sunday. The Eisbären are in third place after four match days. The league leaders from Düsseldorf had to admit defeat against Dresden 3-4 at the weekend.

In the U17 Division I Süd secured the ESV Kaufbeuren, EC Bad Tölz and EV Regensburg two successes at the weekend. Kaufbeuren defeated Ingolstadt 6:3 and 4:3. Bad Tölz celebrated two big wins against Bietigheim (8:0 and 6:2). Regensburg stole six points from Schwenningen - they won 4-3 on Saturday and 4-0 on Sunday. The Starbulls Rosenheim secured a 4-3 win after a penalty shootout and a 1-0 win in the duel with the Jungadler Mannheim.

After the second matchday weekend the EV Duisburg in the U17 Division II Nord at the top of the table. The Foxes were in a scoring mood on Saturday and Sunday: they won 12:1 and 8:2 Berlin clearly against ECC Preussen and thus secured the top position. The Grizzly Adams Wolfsburg also celebrated significant successes, retaining the upper hand against the Hannover Indians with 7:0 and 6:1.

Continue to remain undefeated in the U17 Division II Süd is EHC 80 Nürnberg and the EHC Straubing. EV Ravensburg felt the full power of the table leaders from Nuremberg at the weekend: EVR had to admit defeat with 0:10 and 0:17 on Saturday and Sunday respectively. Straubing won 4-1 in Weiden. Further away successes were celebrated by Mannheimer ERC (7:1 in Peiting), EHC Munich (5:3 in Augsburg) and Augsburger EV (4:3 nP in Munich).
