U16 women complete a course in Füssen

24 national players nominated for the course at the Federal Training Center in Füssen / Neumayer: “Some new and young players included”

The German U16 women's national team will meet from August 9th to 12th, 2018 at the Federal Training Center in Füssen. This is the second course of the still young season. The coaching duo Florian Neumayer and Daniel Bartell invite four goalkeepers, twelve defenders and eight forwards onto the ice.

The team spent five days in Füssen in July. Women's Federal Young talent trainers Tommy Kettner and Florian Neumayer used the five-day event to look at some new players. This paid off, as some of these players are now in the squad for the upcoming course. The team will prepare for two international matches in September within four days, which will take place against the Czech Republic in Selb from September 12th to 14th, 2018.

The rest of the schedule for the U16 women includes two return games in the Czech Republic in November 2018. The first big highlight of the season will follow in February 2019 with a 4-nation tournament in Selb. The conclusion will be the now established European Cup in April 2019.

Florian Neumayer, coach of the U16 women’s national team: “We have to compensate for the age-related departure of the 2002 class and especially used July to analyze some young players. Together with last year's national players from 2003 and 2004, they now form the framework for the upcoming season. In the next four days we will prepare the players for the two games against the Czech Republic in September.”
