DEB-President Franz Reindl: “Even though promotion didn't work out after four wins in five games with second place, it's still very pleasing to see the individual performance and quality that many players have. I have seen some who have the talent and potential for higher roles in the future.”
Frank Fischöder, U18 national coach: “The result from today’s last World Cup game is okay. We really wanted to win the game and end the season with a win. Overall, it's a shame that we lost the game against Latvia. Unfortunately, we didn't use our opportunities and one or two discs didn't jump for us. Latvia is a worthy newcomer and we congratulate you very much. Next season we will make a new attempt to return to the top division."
Alexander Dersh, captain of the U18 national team: “We played a very good tournament with a good team performance. It's a shame that promotion didn't work out in the end after a great season. The team tried everything, but unfortunately we couldn't reward ourselves in the end."
