The U18 national team Finland narrowly lost 5:3 (4:1; 1:2; 3:0) in the last game of the 0-nation tournament in Zuchwil (Switzerland) and thus ended up in second place in the tournament.
Klaus Merk, DEB Team manager: "It was a great fight again until the end. Unfortunately, the one action, the luck at the end, was missing to equalize the game again. Congratulations to Finland on winning the tournament."
Frank Fischöder, U18 national coach: "The team put in a very good performance throughout the entire tournament. The team showed excellent ice hockey, not just in terms of fighting spirit but also technically and playfully. We can build on second place and are optimistic about the future."

The U16 national team had to admit defeat to the Swiss in the last game of the 4-nation tournament in Wetzikon (Switzerland) with 1:3 (0:0; 0:2; 1:1).
Stefan Mayer, U16 national coach: "We showed a committed performance in a very evenly matched game. Today we made a lot of good decisions both defensively and offensively. However, we were sometimes careless in our use of opportunities and missed 100 percent goal chances. In the end, we conceded an empty-net goal."
