In the final of the SKODA Cup 2017 in Dresden, the U15 women's national team lost to the Czech team from HC Slovan Usti nad Labem 2:6 (0:3; 2:3).
Usti took the lead after just 19 seconds, but the girls played well afterwards and had a few chances to equalize. With two goals in the 13th minute and shortly before the break, the game was practically decided for the livelier and physically superior boys.
In the second period, Usti was able to extend the lead to 5-0. But the German girls showed morale and fighting spirit and were able to reduce the score to 2:5 with two goals from Ronja Hark and Lola Liang. The sixth goal for Usti was the final point of the tournament.
Coach Daniel Bartell: “We took part in the SKODA Cup with the U15 girls for the seventh time and achieved the best placement with second place. All the players got involved DEB represented well on and off the ice and deserved the success at the end of the year.”
The team and the team staff would like to thank ESC Dresden for the very good organization and for all the helpers for the support and care on site.
