The schedule for the 2017/18 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang / South Korea has been finalized. The Olympic ice hockey tournament will be held from February 14-25.02.2018, XNUMX at the "Gangneung Hockey Centre" and "Kwandong Hockey Centre". Canada, the Czech Republic, Switzerland and Korea will face each other in Group A, while Russia, the USA, Slovakia and Slovenia will face each other in Group B. The top three teams in each group and the best runner-up will qualify directly for the quarter-finals. The remaining eight teams will play four playoff matches based on their preliminary round placement, with the winners advancing to the quarter-finals.
"We have been drawn into a challenging group with the three Scandinavian nations," said national coach Marco Sturm. "Finland and Sweden are two top nations that can rely on a broad and well-trained squad even without their NHL players. Norway will, just like us, try to annoy the other two nations and trip them up."
