Women's and U18 women's team in the BLZ / Hinterstocker: “We want to further promote cooperation” / Voluntary daily sighting for U15 women
Concentrated competencies: From August 17th to 20.08.2017th, 18, both the U2017 women's national team and the women's national team will meet at the Federal Training Center (BLZ) in Füssen for the second ice training course of the still young 18/XNUMX season.
Under the direction of women's national coach Benjamin Hinterstocker and U18 women's national coach Tommy Kettner, a total of 19 hours of ice are available for the two teams. On the ice, the two coaches are supported by U18 assistant coach Franziska Busch; off the ice, athletic trainer and sports scientist Marco Dietzel (OSP Berlin) as usual the program of the two women's teams. Since no games are played during the course, in addition to intensifying the training, emphasis is also placed on an expanded supporting program. In addition to a lecture by nutritionist Dr. Mareike Großhauser will answer questions from Jasmin Krämer from Deutsche Sporthilfe, especially the younger U18 players. “Despite the numerous training sessions, it is important that we offer the players the opportunity to receive training and further education in the performance-relevant topics of ice hockey,” said women’s national coach Hinterstocker.
This season, the U18 women will be competing in the top division at the 2018 IIHF U18 Women's Ice Hockey World Championship in Dmitrov (Russia) for the first time since 2013, while the women's national team will not be competing in a world championship due to the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang has to dispute. Despite this, or perhaps precisely because of this, the women's coaching staff sees it as essential to link the cooperation between the two teams even more closely. “We have been in constant and close communication for some time DEB-Women's area, forced work between the U18 and women's national teams is of course immensely important. The 24.08.2017/2017 international season officially starts for the women's national team next Thursday (August 18, XNUMX). The DEB-Women travel to Sweden, where the first international comparisons against Finland, Russia and Sweden will take place as part of the Euro Hockey Challenge.
