Cologne, May 17, 2017 – The results of groups A and B in the preliminary round of the 2017 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship in Cologne and Paris have resulted in the following quarter-final configurations for Thursday, May 18, 2017
Cologne – LANXESS arena
– Quarterfinals 1 at 16:15 p.m.: USA-Finland – Around 8.300 tickets still available
– Quarterfinals 3 at 20:15 p.m.: Canada-Germany– Around 7.200 tickets still available
Paris – AccorHotels Arena
– Quarterfinal 2 at 16:15 p.m.: Russia-Czech Republic – Around 6.400 tickets still available
– Quarterfinal 4 at 16:15 p.m.: Switzerland-Sweden – Around 5.400 tickets still available
Also for the two semi-finals on May 20.5th. as well as bronze and gold finals on May 21.5st. (all in Cologne) there are still enough tickets available.
With Game 53 Russia-USA (3:5) of the 2017 IIHF World Cup in Cologne, the total number of spectators of the 2010 IIHF World Cup from 56 games including the opening game at Schalke was exceeded even before the preliminary round was completed. At that time, a total of 548.768 spectators came to the three World Cup venues in Gelsenkirchen, Cologne and Mannheim. A total of 56 spectators have come to the 2017 preliminary round games of the 584.827 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship. Cologne has so far recorded 375.497 spectators. In Paris, the sound barrier of 209.330 spectators was already clearly broken with 200.000.
