“Triple Gold Club” member Mikael Samuelsson acts as assistant coach / Local hero Reimer is also there
With NHL star Tobias Rieder from the Arizona Coyotes and “Triple Gold Club” member Mikael Samuelsson, the German national ice hockey team is entering the third preparation phase for the home World Cup (May 3th – 5st) in Cologne.

The selection of the Deutscher Eishockey-Bund meets on Tuesday (DEB) in Franconia. “We have to continue to work hard on ourselves in Nuremberg,” demanded Sturm after the first success during preparation last weekend in Belarus (2:1), where the German selection presented a great improvement, particularly in terms of play and tactics.

With the Swede Mikael Samuelsson (40), a “Triple Gold Club” member strengthens the German coaching team for the week in Nuremberg. The 803-time NHL player won the World Cup and the Olympic Games with his home country in 2006. In 2008 he won the Stanley Cup with the Detroit Red Wings. To date, there are only 27 players and one coach worldwide who belong to the “Triple Gold Club”.
