The German U16 women's national team will meet in Bad Tölz from April 12th to 15th, 2017 for a preparatory course. Coach Tommy Kettner's team is training there for the European Cup, which will take place from April 27th to 30th in Budapest (Hungary). In the group stage of the tournament the DEB-Select Austria, Russia and Hungary. The teams from Finland, Czech Republic, Switzerland and Slovakia form the second group. The final squad for the European Cup will be announced at the end of the preparatory course on April 15th. A total of 18 players and two goalkeepers are traveling to the tournament in Budapest.
Coach Tommy Kettner: “Due to the restructuring of the U16 age group, players from the U15 and last year’s U18 can now play together. The U15 and U18 cohorts are moving closer together thanks to the new age group, which means the gap between the two age groups is smaller. We would now like to use the course to teach the girls the tactics and prepare the respective ranks for the European Cup.”
