Scorpions will be reunited in the future / Hanover and Wedemark will merge
In a joint press conference this afternoon, the ESC Wedemark Scorpions and the Hannover Scorpions announced the future merger of the teams from Mellendorf and Langenhagen. The two clubs will be reunited after the end of the season in summer 2017 and will compete in the Oberliga-Nord as a joint team in the coming 2017/18 season.
Due to this decision and the fact that no potential promoted team has been found from the regional leagues North and East, the planned relegation round of the Oberliga North will also be cancelled this season, as no relegated team needs to be determined.
