Association coordinator Michael Bakos is leaving the Deutscher Eishockey-Bund (DEB) and will in future take over the sporting management of the young ice hockey talent at Augsburger EV.
The former national player came to the club in 2014 after the end of his active career DEB and completed training there as a sports and fitness clerk. He was primarily responsible for coordinating the teaching measures in the Young Talent area. As part of the restructuring of the DEB The 38-year-old took on the newly created position of association coordinator last summer.
During his playing days, Bakos made exactly 100 international appearances for the German national team, including participation in the Olympic Games and five World Cups. Now he's headed back to the ice, or at least to the boards. From the coming season, the Augsburg native will not only be in charge of the AEV's sporting management, but also the DNL team as head coach.

On the one hand, it's a shame that he DEB after his contract expires at the end of June because he has done valuable work in the association. On the other hand, we know that an outstanding man is now leading the young talent work in Augsburg who knows how to implement the requirements of POWERPLAY 26 very well.”
