300 previously blocked tickets per game day of the 2017 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship will go on sale on March 1.3st. in sale
Cologne/Paris, February 28, 2017 - Last week, representatives of the IIHF World Ice Hockey Federation in Cologne and Paris were able to see for themselves the advanced status of the organization of the 6 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship (May 2017th - 5st) as part of their 21th inspection visit . As part of the inspections and discussions on numerous topics, the respective seating plans of the LANXESS arena in Cologne and the AccorHotels Arena in Paris were also examined in detail. This resulted in the release of places that had previously been blocked for various purposes. This means that around 300 additional tickets can be sold in advance per match day for the World Cup tournament in Cologne.
This applies to all 15 match days in Cologne, i.e. also the match days that were recently no longer available, such as the opening match day on May 5th with the Sweden-Russia encounter and the German team's opening World Cup game against the USA or May 8th with Germany- Russia and USA-Sweden. Even the no less popular match days such as May 6.5th. with Germany-Sweden, the currently almost sold out May 13.5th, a Saturday with three games including Italy-Germany, all final round days with quarter-finals on May 18.5th, semi-finals on May 20.5th, bronze and gold finals on May 21.5st. as well as all other match days with German participation (May 10.5th with Slovakia-Germany, May 12.5th with Denmark-Germany and May 16.5th with Germany-Latvia) are included.
The additional tickets go on Wednesday, March 01st from 11:00 a.m in advance day ticket sales. However, you have to be quick, because these additional tickets are also available “while stocks last”.
The first games at the World Cup venue in Paris are now also selling out. The games Finland-France on May 7.5, Canada-France on May 11.5, Canada-Switzerland on May 13.5 and Switzerland-Finland on May 14.5 are particularly in demand. Individual categories are already sold out and only a few hundred tickets are still available.
