U18 national ice hockey team BLR – GER 0:4 (0:2, 0:1, 0:1)
The U18 national team returned with a 4-0 win against Belarus in the Vlado Dzurilla Cup and earned the first three points of the tournament. Coach Steffen Ziesche's team was focused right from the start and was rewarded with a 2-0 lead in the first third with a goal from Seider on double power and the second goal of the tournament from Gams. When the Belarusian player Firsov had to go to the penalty box for two minutes in the second half of the game, the U18 team extended their lead to three goals. Palka scored the final point with his goal in the penultimate minute to make it 4-0.
André Dietzsch, Team Manager U18 National Team: “Our players implemented what we had set out to do throughout the entire game. We appeared together on the ice, showed enough effort and so the boys were able to reward themselves in the end. We are now focusing on tomorrow's game against Slovakia and would like to build on today's concentrated team performance.

U19 national ice hockey team GER – FIN 2:5 (0:0, 1:3, 1:2)
In the third game of the 5-nation tournament in Zuchwil, the U19 national team lost 2:5 to a strong Finnish opponent. Goalkeeper Pantkowski gave the German defense the stability it needed in a running-intensive first period and did not allow a goal to be scored. In the second period, Finland took control of the game by scoring three goals in three minutes. Kiefersauer found an answer to the goals shortly before the end of the middle period and shortened the lead for the DEB-Selection to 1:3. At the beginning of the third period, Kotkansalo scored two goals to secure the Finnish preliminary decision. Reiter shortened the score to 2:5 with a goal in the majority, which was also the final result.
National coach Christian Künast: “We were able to hold our own against the strong Finnish team very well until halfway through the game. Then the opponent took advantage of any inattention on our team's part. Now it’s time to prepare for tomorrow’s game against Sweden.”
