Weiden table leader / Halle remains number one / DNL preliminary round is coming to an end
The Oberliga-South-Newbie EV Lindau Islanders were able to score their first three points of the season against EHV Schönheide 09 at the weekend, but are still at the bottom of the table with Schönheide and Sonthofen. EV Weiden, which has struggled in the bottom of the table in recent years, is completely different: The Upper Palatinate were able to score points both on Friday (against Waldkraiburg, 6:2) and on Sunday (against Peiting, 5:3) and thus moved ahead of the Tölzer Löwen and put the Selber Wolves at the top of the table.

The Oberliga-Nord The Füchse from Duisburg had to admit defeat in extra time on both match days. The Crocodiles were out on Friday Hamburg the happier ending (3:4 after extra time) and on Sunday the Essen team prevailed (also 3:4 after extra time). In the Hanover derby at the Pferdeturm, the Indians won 5:4 against the Wedemark Scorpions. Timmendorf won the coastal duel against Rostock 4:3.

The German Young Talent League stood for some teams Group A the last preliminary round games this weekend. According to the current standings, Mannheim, Krefeld and Düsseldorf have already qualified for the “Red Group” as places 1 to 3 in the table. Which fourth team will join will not be decided until next weekend. At the moment, Rosenheim can still maintain fourth place in the table. But next week EC Bad Tölz has the opportunity to score points in two games against the already qualified Krefeld team and move past Rosenheim and possibly even Düsseldorf (3rd place).

The DNL Group B stand Cologne and Berlin at the top of the table and will play the preliminary round winner in a direct duel next weekend. The DNL II Chemnitz and Essen shared the points at the weekend (2:5 and 6:5 after extra time). Frankfurt defeated Wolfsburg twice (5:1; 4:1), as did Weißwasser Preussen Berlin (5:2 and 7:2). Kassel is still the league leader in the north. In the south, Bietigheim is in first place. At the weekend they won 7:3 against Ravensburg. Second in the table Füssen managed a 5:4 win against Deggendorf and Peiting won twice against Heilbronn (3:1 and 3:2 after extra time).

The Women's Bundesliga ESC Planegg won twice against OSC in the Wellblechpalast Berlin (4:2 and 7:1). League leaders ERC Ingolstadt narrowly prevailed against EC Bergkamen in two games (3:2 and 3:2). ECDC Memmingen took six points from Hanover (5:1 and 7:0).
