Düsseldorf defender has already joined the team and is traveling to Minsk today
Defender Stephan Daschner from the Düsseldorfer EG was appointed to the provisional squad of the German national ice hockey team by national coach Marco Sturm. Daschner joined the team in Mannheim on Thursday evening and will travel to Minsk on Friday.
The German selection will first face France on Saturday, August 27th (16 p.m.). A day later, the national team completes its dress rehearsal against hosts Belarus (16 p.m.).
Previously, the defenders Denis Reul (Adler Mannheim) and Justin Krueger (SC Bern/SUI) have to cancel their participation in the Olympic qualification tournament in Riga (September 1st - 4th, 2016) due to injuries.
