SC Bern defender cannot take part in the Olympic qualifying tournament in Riga
The German national ice hockey team will have to do without defender Justin Krueger at the qualifying tournament for the Olympic Games (September 1st - 4th in Riga). The defender is out due to a knee injury he recently suffered during preparation with his home club SC Bern. After further examinations and stress tests, the decision was made DEB-Team doctor Dr. Andreas Gröger (Klinikum Recht der Isar, Munich) in consultation with Krüger that an operation in Riga would be too risky. Krueger traveled back to Switzerland on Wednesday following morning training.
Defender Denis Reul (Adler Mannheim) also canceled his participation due to an arm injury.
