Westminster Group of Companies becomes Official Main Sponsor the German national ice hockey team
The Deutscher Eishockey-Bund (DEB) has found a new official main sponsor for the next two years in Westminster Immobilien GmbH. From the coming 2016/17 season, the group's logo will adorn the chest and sleeves of the German national ice hockey team's jersey as well as the front of the helmet. The partnership also includes perimeter advertising, advertising services on printed materials and online, as well as extensive ticket packages. The contract was signed by Infront Sports & Media, the marketing partner of the DEB, conveyed.
Westminster has also booked a rights package at the 2017 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championships in Cologne. Next year the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship will take place in Cologne and Paris from May 5th to 21st, 2017. The organizers of the largest team sporting event in 2017 are expecting more than 600.000 spectators in the cities on the Rhine and Seine as well as more than 1 billion TV viewers worldwide. The presence on the jersey of the German national team also extends to the 2018 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship in Denmark.
The one in Königs Wusterhausen - southeast of Berlin – based Westminster group of companies with an investment focus on real estate is already very active in sports sponsorship. In addition to its involvement in football, equestrian sports and volleyball, Westminster was a “national team partner” of the German national ice hockey team at the 2015 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championships in Prague and is also a partner of the Czech ice hockey club HC Dynamo Pardubice. Westminster Immobilien GmbH is a subsidiary of the Westminster group of companies. The family office Brandenburg is one of the largest private property owners in the new federal states.
