Shifting responsibilities / Bakos will DEB-Association coordinator
The Deutscher Eishockey-Bund (DEB) restructures the responsibilities in the area of sports in the spirit of the realignment of POWERPLAY 26 and redistributes the competencies.
Michael Bakos will be in the future as DEB- Act as association coordinator. He is not only responsible for the administrative and organizational work in the area of talent and club support, but also works on the sports concept of the league game system in collaboration with the director of gaming operations. Ernst Höfner, head coach for talent and club support, will now work exclusively in the practical area of training work on the ice as well as on-site support for the clubs.
In addition, the position of the competitive sports officer is to be filled this season in cooperation with the German Olympic Sports Confederation and the Federal Ministry of the Interior. The so-called federal instructor will be tasked with massively expanding the training and further education of coaches in cooperation with Stefan Schaidnagel, national coach for science and training. With a view to the upcoming 2017 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship from May 5th to 21st, 2017 in Cologne and Paris, there will be a DEB- There will be a trainer academy, which includes, among other things, new training and further education formats.
The two newly created positions DEB-Association coordinator and the competitive sports representative are under the direct management of Stefan Schaidnagel and will be supported by a working student from autumn 2016.
In addition to his position as national goalkeeping coach, Klaus Merk works in the administration of national teams and is therefore primarily active as a coordinator and contact person for all team managers. In addition, he will continue to support the goalkeeper license training courses in the role of national goalkeeper coach as part of the coaching academy.
DEBSecretary General Michael Pfuhl and Stefan Schaidnagel agree on the changes: “In the interests of our internal development, we have DEB-Presidium presented a new personnel concept, which received full approval. We are continuing to work on positioning ourselves more broadly and implementing the restructuring sensibly.”
