Augsburg receives award / "Exemplary talent promotion"
Successful child and youth work is the foundation for later sporting success. In addition to sporting development, sports clubs also offer a place for the personal development of children and young people. Commerzbank AG, together with the German Olympic Sports Confederation, has been awarding clubs and club departments with the “Green Ribbon” for 30 years. The aim is to further support the development and promotion of children and young people in the clubs.
In the anniversary year of the “Green Ribbon for exemplary talent promotion in the club” the Augsburg Ice Skating Club eV . DEB-President Franz Reindl is pleased about the AEV's honor: “This is a really great award for the traditional club Deutschland-Cup-Augsburg location as well as for the many committed people responsible.” In addition to a trophy made of crystal glass, the Augsburger Eislaufverein eV also receives a funding bonus for youth work of 5.000 euros.
The development and now 30-year history of the “Green Belt” is extremely well respected in Germany’s sporting world. Every year, around 50 sports clubs are selected from all applications and awarded for their committed talent search and promotion.
