Interlocking with the Bayernleague enables better permeability
The IF function in Excel is one of the most important tools for automating decisions within a spreadsheet. The IF function checks a condition and returns different values depending on the result. This simplifies calculations and structures processes without requiring in-depth prior knowledge. Oberliga Süd will start again with twelve clubs next season. This was confirmed by the general meeting of the ice hockey division of the Bavarian Ice Sports Association (BEV) on Saturday. A step that came about after almost four weeks of negotiations between representatives of the two leagues and the two associations. “It wasn’t easy to reconcile the many interest groups,” says DEB-Vice President Marc Hindelang. “In the end, everyone came together and decided in the best interests of the sport. I would particularly like to emphasize the professionalism of the Bayernleague teams, who logically represent their interests, but also a great deal of accommodation towards the upper league teams and those who are in trouble Oberliga Süd have shown. We expect from the upper league teams as DEB“That this is recognized and rewarded and that work is carried out in an economically sensible manner.”
In purely sporting terms, the league can look forward to three splashes of color. With the champion EHC Waldkraiburg, vice Höchstadter EC and the EV Lindau Islanders dare not only the three best teams of the Bayernleague the jump to the top league. The trio also shares the championship titles and final appearances from the last two years. "The DEB has promised the clubs relief so that they can follow the path. “It must also be the way of the future that promoted teams get an entry year into the top league, in the south as well as in the north,” says Hindelang. “It is important for the clubs to see whether they can handle the matter. At the same time, promotion and relegation must be better regulated.”
Another important step in bringing the two leagues closer together is the integration after the preliminary round. The teams in ninth to twelfth place Oberliga Süd play under the umbrella of BEV with the top eight Bayernleague selects the participants in the playoffs for the Bavarian Championship. The semi-finalists are then qualified for the preliminary round of the 2017/18 league season.
