Steffen Ziesche new U18 national coach / Fischöder assists
Restructuring of the U18 national team: Steffen Ziesche and Frank Fischöder will be the new coaching team for the U2016 team from the coming 17/18 season.
Steffen Ziesche has been able to gain international experience on the gang in recent years. He assisted with the men's national team for three years and last season he worked with the U20 national team. In club life, the 44-year-old from the capital leads the DNL team Eisbären Juniors BerlinHis new assistant Frank Fischöder is in a normal position with him in league play. Fischöder has been the head coach of the Jungadler Mannheim for years.
Steffen Ziesche is looking forward to the upcoming season: “I am very proud to be part of the realignment of the DEB and it is always an honor to be able to work for the Deutscher Eishockey-Bund. My assistant coach Frank Fischöder and I are highly motivated for the tasks ahead.”
Stefan Schaidnagel, national coach for science and training, explains the restructuring as follows: “In the spirit of the restructuring of POWERPLAY 26, we also want to implement new concepts in the coaching area and see this being initiated by the new appointments. Our special thanks go to the previous coaches Rick Böhm and Thomas Schädler, who have done very good work for the team above and beyond the usual level. DEB have achieved.”
