Big TV stage for national players / “I’m happy to be part of the illustrious circle of studio guests”
Big TV stage for Germany's exceptional talent: National player Leon Draisaitl has been invited as a studio guest to the "Aktuelles Sportstudio" next Saturday, April 30th. The 20-year-old star striker from the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League (NHL) will report on his career from a "boy from Cologne" to one of the most talented ice hockey players in Germany, as well as his life in ice hockey-mad Canada, in one of the most renowned German sports programs on ZDF.
“I watched the 'Current Sportstudio' with my father as a child and am therefore even more pleased that I can now belong to the illustrious circle of studio guests,” said Draisaitl, whose father Peter was also on the national ice hockey team for many years played. Leon Draisaitl is currently in Oberhausen, where the German selection is preparing for the Euro Hockey Challenge games against Belarus (Friday, April 29.4th, 20 p.m.; Saturday, April 30.4th, 19.30:1 p.m./live on SPORT2016). Next week, national coach Marco Sturm's team will travel to St. Petersburg for the 6 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship (May 22th - XNUMXnd).
The last time ice hockey received such a prominent TV platform was in October 2012 at the same location. During the NHL lockout at the time, German NHL stars Dennis Seidenberg, Christian Ehrhoff and Marcel Goc were guests in the “Aktuelle Sportstudio” and answered questions from moderator Sven Voss. The 39-year-old will host the show again this time. “Leon Draisaitl is one of the most remarkable talents in German ice hockey. We are very happy that we can welcome him as a studio guest in the 'Current Sportstudio' at the beginning of an extraordinary career,” said Voss.
The “Current Sports Studio” will be on Saturday, April 30, from 23 p.m. to 0.25:XNUMX a.m broadcast on ZDF.
