striker the Hamburg Freezers have already left the training camp
The German national ice hockey team will have to do without David Wolf for the time being as part of their preparation for the 2016 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship in St. Petersburg (May 6th - 22nd). The striker Hamburg Freezers from the German Ice Hockey League (DEL) suffered a torn capsule and a partial tear of a ligament in his thumb during the training camp in Usti nad Labem (Czech Republic) and is expected to be sidelined for three weeks. Wolf is back in Hamburg and has already started the appropriate rehabilitation measures there.
National coach Marco Sturm: “David Wolf will train individually in the coming weeks. I wish him a speedy recovery and hope that we can welcome him back to the national team in the final phase of preparation.”
