Künast: “Scoring goals is difficult” / Tomorrow against Slovakia
In their second game, the U19 national team also lost 2:4 (1:4; 1:0; 0:0) to the Lillehammer Academy team.
The first third was marked by many goals. First, Lillehammer took a 0-1 lead. Just two minutes later, the German team equalized at 1-1. But just a minute later, Lillehammer regained the lead. Five minutes after the opening goal, Lillehammer increased the score to 1-4 within two minutes at halftime.
In the middle section, Germany was only able to score the goal to make it 2-4, despite several opportunities to outnumber the score.
The German selection fought to stay in touch in the final third, but the offensive actions were too harmless and so the final score remained 2:4.
Silvan Heiß was named the best German player.
Federal Young talent coach Christian Künast: “Despite the 1:4 deficit, the team didn’t give up and continued to believe in the chance and worked hard. Unfortunately she wasn't rewarded. At international level, it’s still difficult for the boys to score goals.”
In their third game, the German team will face Slovakia tomorrow (March 31.03st) at 18:00 p.m.
