There are some important dates coming up for the men's national team in the next six months.
The first event will take place in April 2016 with the Euro Hockey Challenge with games against the Czech Republic, Sweden, Latvia and Belarus. Directly afterwards takes place in front of the 2016 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship in St.Petersburg (Russia) has one last preparatory game in Basel against the Swiss.
After the World Cup at the end of May, the team around national coach Marco Sturm won't have a long break before they go back on the ice together in Mannheim at the end of July. At a joint training camp (excluding international matches) a detailed performance diagnostic is also planned at the Heidelberg Olympic base.
The next big highlight is at the end of August: The Olympic qualification for the 2016 Winter Olympics. Before the DEB-Selection travels to Riga (Latvia) for the games and fights there with the hosts, Austria and Japan for the ticket to South Korea, the team will meet again in Mannheim for joint preparation and two Preparatory games in Minsk against France and Belarus.
Traditionally, the first weekend in November (November 4th - 6.11th) is Deutschland Cup in Augsburg.
