“PLAY-FUN-JOY on the ice!”
Under this motto will take place on March 19, 2016 The Nuremberg Girls Ice Hockey Day took place in the ARENA Nürnberger Versicherung. This event is organized by the Deutscher Eishockey-Bund (DEB) and the EHC 80 Nürnberg and the Thomas Sabo Ice Tigers. This event is part of an initiative by the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) and is designed to help give young girls ages 3 to 11 the opportunity to gain ice skating and ice hockey experience.
The DEB and EHC 80 Nürnberg I would like to use this trial day to make it clear that girls are certainly wanted and welcome in the clubs' youth teams. Since there are no all-girls teams in Germany, girls play together with boys at youth level.
In addition to girls with or without experience in ice sports, boys of the same age are of course invited to the Girls Ice Hockey Day. Participation is free. In addition to a two-hour on-ice unit, there is also an off-ice supporting program with presentations about ice hockey and the structures in Germany. Participants can also look forward to surprises that they can take home with them as memories. Physical well-being is provided in the form of a small coffee counter with coffee, cake, pretzels and drinks.
All further information and the registration form are available at www.ehc80.eu.
