The Deutscher Eishockey-Bund (DEB) decides to adapt the implementation regulations for the relegation round of the Oberliga Nord.
After consultation with the regional league teams potentially taking part in the relegation round, they have announced that none of these teams will be playing for promotion to the Oberliga-Nord. The relegation round cannot therefore be implemented in the form described in the implementing regulations and a sensible change/adjustment is essential. Accordingly, after consultation with the for DEB-The member of the executive board responsible for game operations, the relegation round will now be played in one group of four instead of two groups of four. The scheduled match dates and the number of games will not change! Conversely, this means that the team placed in 14th place after the conclusion of the main round is also qualified for the Oberliga-Nord 2016/2017 season and does not take part in the relegation.
After the end of the relegation round (single round), in which those placed 15-18 after the main round take part, the first-placed player is considered to be qualified for the Oberliga-Nord 2016/2017, the placed 2nd, 3rd and 4th will be considered as successors in the order mentioned Consideration.
