With three goalkeepers, eight defensemen and 15 strikers, the German national ice hockey team starts its preparation for the 08 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship (May 10 - 2016, 2016 in St . “We see this training camp as part of the preparation for the World Cup. I am pleased that we can now rely on other established forces in Garmisch-Partenkirchen who were recently missing and have not yet been able to present themselves,” said Sturm.

In addition to a total of four ice sessions and athletic training, the main focus in Garmisch-Partenkirchen is team building. Sturm: “Most of the boys have almost the entire main round under their belts at the start of the training camp and are now entering the crucial phase of the season with their clubs. We will therefore do a lot together as a team off the ice and have organized some program items where the players can clear their heads.”
