Passion and dedication, emotions, team spirit, speed and aesthetics – ice hockey in Germany has a lot to offer the viewer and the active. The Deutscher Eishockey-Bund eV (DEB) now come to life in a film that shows the fascination of ice hockey and can now be seen here.
“Ice hockey is the interaction of the Fans"Without whom our sport would only be a marginal phenomenon, the active and volunteer people who live this sport with passion all over the country, in all leagues and age groups," says DEB- Vice President Marc Hindelang, television man responsible for the project. “Our selection players, who represent Germany with a lot of passion and pride, are at the top as figureheads. The letters are here DEB for: #TheIceBurns…”
The film was shot as part of the Deutschland Cups 2016 in Augsburg. The cameramen from the production company SamPlay (www.samplay.de) were up close with the German team and the Fans. The film should not only be used for advertising and presentation purposes, but also help in acquiring sponsors. “You can tell potential prospects a lot about ice hockey, but it helps a lot more if they experience what the sport means. Unfortunately we are not yet among the world's best in terms of sport, but emotionally we have been for a long time. This means we can and want to score points in the area of marketing.”
At the same time, spots were created during filming that advertise the national team's international matches at locations in Germany and will be used in the run-up to the events in the future. “We want to use this to boost and support ticket sales, which are financially important to us, and ideally also new ones Fans for the national team,” says Stefan Endraß, Marketing Director of DEB.
